Good morning everyone. texastraveler@texastraveler and I just got back from The Stanley Hotel and Rocky Mountain National Park. While we were in the park, we were just trying to plan our route through the park for tomorrow because the weather is supposed to be a lot better tomorrow.

We didn't really see any animals while we were in the park, probably because we would need to hike away from the roadway to see them.

You can see the cabins in the background for the resort we are staying at. We caught these deer chilling at the entrance to the resort as we were coming back in.

This would be such a cool place to live. I would love having so many animals around.

This huge elk was just laying near some trees by the road. This thing was just chilling and I bet I could have gotten closer. I don't feel like having my brains bashed in by its huge hoofs though. I bet it could do some serious damage and I would probably fall on the snow if it got up and I tried to run away. So I kept my distance like a good boy scout.
