My school is one of those university campuses where you don’t have entertainment very often. So basically if you just had fun last week, you don’t get to have fun again in until about a month later. I’m just kidding, it’s not that bad but you get the point.
There are 4 school halls on my campus. You may understand a school hall as a fraternity hall depending on where you’re coming from. It is custom to celebrate Hall weeks every year and it just happened to be the Hall Week Celebration of SSNIT Hostel this week. The programs for the week Celebration are hosted by Tunis Court flat of the SSNIT Hostel.

I’ll give you a little background on the hostel before we get into the fun part. SSNIT Hostel is not actually owned by my school, but by SSNIT, an independent organization in Ghana.

I almost would’ve passed on last night’s party because my friends changed their minds about going last minute. If you guys(@zzzinnn and
@gunu1) are reading this, I just want to let you little pieces of shit know that I know us so well that I was expecting you’d bail last minute😂. I should tell you though that you guys missed something.
So yeah, I said I had social anxiety problems but I still went without them anyways? Yeah sounds about right. I said my friends, didn’t mention anything about my girlfriend.
I find myself looking forward to the weekend because that is when I get to spend quality time with my girlfriend after a week of dealing with the stress of Biochemistry(we’re both Biochemistry students). Considering that she’s the one person that actually gets the goofy side of me, I’d be damn comfortable going to the party with her. I was her knight for the event.
We got to the party late though because we had to made a stop to get food. Funny thing, my friends took me to get food at The View, a kind of restaurant thingy in my neighborhood in the evening. My girlfriend was mad I left her to eat with with my friends. We’d been inside the entire day (that explains my inactivity on Hive the past 24 hours) and running on just waakye(rice and beans) we had around the afternoon.
We got to SSNIT around 12am. Early sleepers had left the party by this time. It was time for the midnight squad to get turnt up and that’s precisely what we did.
Surprisingly, the attendance was good. If you know anything about my campus, you know that the students there are all hype and no show when we’re talking about parties. They post fliers and covers hyping events up but don’t show when it’s time.
My girlfriend had to go upstairs for a celebration for winning the ENACTUS Ghana competition so I was with some of boys who attended the party for that time. I’m very proud of her. She put in a lot of time and work into the rehearsals and they deserved the championship. Maybe if you’re lucky enough, she’ll make a post about it some time. Her @ is @nhaji01.

The rest of the party was hardcore dancing, enjoying kebabs and drinks and laughing at people with better moves than me.
Because we came late, we were the last batch to leave too. We left around 2am. So much for a party themed “till your mama calls” lol. I might've overreacted about something on our way home and made things awkward the entire walk from the party to my girlfriend’s hostel.
I wrote upto this part of this post as we were having breakfast. For breakfast, we had tea with dates on the side. I took a bite on my bread before I remembered to show you guys lol. Again, we’ve been inside half the day so far (it’s 12 pm now) but we’ll be going out later to get some groceries at the roadside.
So it’s 4 pm now and we just got back from the roadside. We made an unplanned stop at an on-campus supermarket, Paradiese supermaket to grab a few stuff. We got home around 5:40 pm and cooked waakye(rice and beans) with the groceries we bought. Maybe @nhaji01 will give you the details of the cooking procedure later. You might even get a recipe, but only “if you’re lucky”.
And dinner was ready! We had the waakye with egg and vegetables, and Sliced mango on the side after. It's not just looking good, it tasted even better, trust me. Ma babes works magic on food:)
This post was delayed because, we had a Hive Ghana telegram meeting scheduled at 9 pm. Maybe I'll make a post covering the meeting in the Loving Hive community tomorrow if the first day of Biochemistry for a new week doesn't stress me too much.
We just covered two days of my life together. Cheers!🥂.
Ps: I'm using youtube to upload my videos because I still haven't been able to figure 3speak out yet. For some reason, even though I unchecked the option of posting to my Hive blog session, the videos kept posting to Hive blog. But only planned to post the videos on 3speak with short descriptions and embed the videos into my hive blog detailed post. I'll start posting to 3speak once I figure a way around it:)
