Between the 16 th and 19th of May, a miner with 51% control of the mining power produced blocks for double spendings. It is said, there have been $18 Million stolen. The BTG dev-team promises an update of Equihash around late June.

My conspiracy theorie of the day: It is known Bitmain drops the Z9 miner in late June. The whole BTG/ZEC community went mad, the teams promised these Z9 will be lost money if bought. Some say, Bitmain runs their miners before release, to "test" them. If imagined, how much money Bitmain would lose developing an useless Z9, why shouldn't they be the heads behind this 51% attack? Just guessing, if this theory is rubbish, I wish you convince me why. Just makes sense in a way, doesn't it? Thanks. ;)
