Most people don't really "get" what they are dealing with; as you said, this is not a thing that's just going to go away when everyone has been vaccinated. Even officialdom has a clearer view of this now... we were looking at visiting Denmark this coming summer, but I was reading the latest stipulations for the Danish "Corona Passport" which you pretty much need to move about freely... it's only valid from two weeks after getting a shot/booster, and then just for 42 days before it expires again.

A lot of people in Denmark have a different kind of resignation, mostly that there's a growing belief that we will all need to get Covid and beat it, in order to develop the natural antibodies that will reduce it to a threat more like the cold I am currently having.
