If we had a so-called "perfect world," I'd be inclined to agree. But the broad-based assumption of "rational self-interest" tends to not hold true, which is where voluntaryism often ends up on shaky ground. It's not that it's not a great ideal, but there are so many self-serving entitled individuals in the world... and even the mentally ill who suffer from various kinds of megalomania.

For the time being, ownership may be the best option we have... at least until we accomplish truly having a world of plenty to the point where anyone can readily synthesize any scarce physical good in a matter of seconds... thereby taking "scarcity" completely out of the equation. But that's probably 300-400 years off.
