Hi andrastia@andrastia, thanks for stopping by, and for your thoughtful comment!

I know there's an old saying that "haste makes waste," but I much prefer the Danish interpretation which loosely translates as "haste feels like a heavy burden." Sometimes I expect I'm a little jaded about the whole thing as a result of living in the USA... where everything feels like it is sped up beyond what feels reasonable.

My mother was also one of those frenetic people and she was the main driving force behind my being "probed and prodded" (at least in the head!) as a kid. Of course the tests revealed nothing aside from my being very d.e.l.i.b.e.r.a.t.e and occasionally p.o.n.d.e.r.o.u.s in my approach to everything.

Whereas I am OK with who I am... the contrast between the speed of the world and my own pace occasionally feels jarring...
