For me, patience is essential... whether I am waiting in line somewhere, or building a presence on Hive, or saving for retirement.

On Hive, I have my own long term objective... where I'd like to be by the end of 2030, when I'd really like to be (at least) semi-retired, and hopefully have a somewhat reliable income stream from a combination of HBD interest in savings and posting/curation. A million changes could happen between now and then, but I have to move forward as if my plans are viable... and have faith in the idea that things won't be derailed by unpredictable events.

And that's important, I think. Choosing to not have a plan because life is uncertain is not workable, at least not for me.
