A friend of mind is fond of observing that "consciousness is HARD WORK." Implying that it does take quite a bit of effort and mental bandwidth to stay on top of whether we're stuck in some of our old habits. I'll be the first to admit that I have had my times where I tended to relate to others by focusing on the negative things in my life as a way of seeking connection.
But to what end? And what happens when it just becomes a habit to focus on the problems? "Misery loves company," and all that stuff.
Thanks for the kind words!
