Yes, the UK was always expensive for "real" eating out, I remember that. But how about things like going down to your local chippy, or getting Chinese/Indian takeaway? That used to be reasonable

Some places/genres do seem to have gone up slightly less, like Chipotle, Panera Bread and the like. Still trying to adjust to the idea of a hamburger and fries being $15. Even our local hot dog stand now

We pretty much avoid fast food, mostly for quality reasons... some of that stuff barely qualifies for even being called food... Sadly, the US doesn't seem to have as much "street food culture"

Yeah, with a family the price of life runs up in a hurry! We're really grateful for streaming services, although some of the rentals for recent movies are getting pretty stout.

You tryin' to Rickroll me??? 🤣 But yeah, the "side" I tend to choose is the side of getting resolution, not of blindly following some particular agenda or manifesto.

It's a bad thing for those of us who think of houses as "where we LIVE" rather than just "investments" to be swapped and sold for gains all the time.

It is utter madness... but I'm still grateful we even get a break.

Doesn't seem very civilized to me, either. That was one of the good things about living in Texas... they could put a lien on your property for unpaid taxes, but they could keep accumulating year after

Eric, to be honest I think "quality content" is a bit of a unicorn and even though I was among the OGs who clamored for quality content I have gradually come to the perspective that it's less

We're often saving wayward creatures of various types, it just seems like the right thing to do.

Ah, yes! I'm definitely disinclined towards working, at least "for its own sake!" Not to say that I don't work; I work a lot but would just as well not. And yes, I think that's where the tendency

Goes to show the different temperaments of us all! I find a great deal of comfort and peace of mind in consistency and constance, but I also recognize I'm likely in the minority!

Sometimes is seems like the whole world has come off the rails... even people I thought were relatively "sane" seem to be increasingly chasing hoaxes around as somehow preferable to just getting

Yeah, compassion fatigue is a very real thing; one of the reasons I was quite content to largely dump Facebook (except for a couple of business pages I manage) for the somewhat quieter shores of Hive.

What a wonderfully cool thing to do! It's such an amazing transformation and certainly a great "biology in action" lesson!

Well, I hope he/she makes it to become a wonderful butterfly. You've certainly offered up the best possible chance for Lumpy.

"Manifesting" has to be one of the most abused and misused concepts in the whole self-development field. My guess would be that we have to look to the Upanishads for the origins, loosely speaking...

He does look rather fierce...

I guess everyone has their thing, but I've never been able to grasp the idea of people wanting to "get away" into nature and then bringing all manners of equipment and tools with them to control

The opportunity definitely exists for people to be able to get from Hive what they are willing to put into Hive. It may not exactly be a meritocracy, but it's closer than most opportunities. Technically
