Looks lovely! Beautiful garden you have there. Can't wait to get going on our garden, but we still have a lot of cold days to come; snow in the forecast for Monday, and we have to wait until April to be

Much wow... so many tokens! I'm sure he'll have lots of fun if he ever wanted to actually SELL any of those tokens... Kinda embarrased that he's even a fellow countryman of mine,,,

Ah yes, the joy of septic systems. We're in need of a pumping here, as well. I have become well-versed in the shitty business of hosing the filters on the outlet side and backwashing the main pipe from

Humans! It never ceases to amaze me just how many humans — little and large — come across as if they were raised by wolves. And that's actually an insult to wolves, everywhere. Mostly, I think the vast

Wise and thoughtful words, as always! What do schools really teach us? They teach us how to follow a schedule, how to be somewhere on-time, how to be obedient, how to take tests. I have a very nice University

Yikes! That sounds just awful... stay safe, as best you can!

Thank you @ackhoo, appreciate the support!

Ah yes, one of my favorite quotes! Jiddu Krishnamurti: “It is no measure of health to be well adjusted to a profoundly sick society.” It was my email signature line for many years. It is one of the thing

That 7-cent stamp with the goose was one of the very first Canadian stamps I got, as a kid. Growing up in faraway Denmark, Canada seemed soooo far away, and so exciting and exotic! It's cool that you're

Thanks for that! The Dane in me am all about "the joy of the pig." Normally, we just toss pork shoulder roasts in the crock pot, but this looks like a really good way of doing it.

In the end, we each have to do what's meaningful to us. Whether you consider what you have a "hoard" or a "collection," if you're actively engaged in it *(rather than randomly tossing

Indeed, they don't! But they still call for your investment of time and effort, and they take up "mind space," every time you work on your collection.

I think the important thing there is "well curated." What I think of as "good" collections of pretty much anything tend to be well curated. Not everyone agrees with that approach. but

You're quite right, you can't put a monetary value on "enjoyment" and on "having fun," and both apply in this case.

The first items are going out for sale this weekend... it'll be interesting to see where it all ends! I'll be keeping a record, so I can do a follow-up post, later.

For me, part of the reward of breaking up these kinds of estate lots is the search iself... and then the knowledge that I end up helping someone get a desired item for their collection. It's a form of
