Thank you good sir! We each have our ways at prodding at the "Sheep Effect."

Thanks! Just a little reverse psychology, I suppose... although I really don't do numbered lists well!

The different venues definitely have their own "personalities." My ending up on Steem originally was a response to being totally fed up with the unpleasantness on Facebook around the 2016 US

Yeah @owasco, I'm pretty much an "Olde Pharte!" It is a strange dichotomy, really... it seems like "the more connected we become, the LESS connected we are." People cease to be people

Hey Paul, yes I deal with that dichotomy quite often. I guess it's a lack of time thing... being on Hive is something I do in my spare spare time. So I create something, next step is responding to comments

Thank you for the support, I appreciate it! And I really appreciate the fact that you are curating outside your own geographical/cultural area!

Sometimes I wish they would be, too. Or, at least, I wish existing ways of doing things wouldn't be so readily discarded, simply because "something new" has come along...

Thank you Joan, and thanks for the tip! Appreciate it!

My particular brand of "weird" started bothering my own parents when I was quite young... they were conformists in so many ways, and the fact that I wasn't embracing becoming a doctor or lawyer

It all depends, doesn't it? Where I live now, a comment like "You're so weird!" is best replied to with the words "thank you!" Which is pretty positive. But I have also lived in places

Yes, conformity is not good for creativity... certainly something I have also experienced, over the years.

Hah! No worries, mate...

Personally, I like the fact that you're weird. A major part of why I got fed up with Farcebook was exactly that whole conformity issue... which was partly inspired by people simply being sheeple, and partly

That's impressive; I know your situation is challenging, to say the least. There is a lot to be said for simplicity... we have been striving for it for some time, and it always feels like a small

I'm glad I live in a county that has had a total of 31 confirmed cases, no fatalities and 26 of the 31 are on record as "recovered." It seems most people here "social distance" without

Thank you for the support! I appreciate it.

Allrighty, then! Let's do the retro thing... gotta love that 80's sound; if you were a kid coming up in the 80's this should take you back... Except this is brand new from The Midnight, off their new album

Hummingbirds are extremely fierce and territorial little creatures... we have quite a few coming to our feeders and they have "air wars" with much bigger birds who enter their space.

Thank you @papilloncharity! The thing I find interesting in watching these battles unfold is how intelligent the crows are... and how 3-4 of them end up creating an organized attack on a much larger bird

Thankfully, I don't actually need any sorts of loans like that (or of any other kind): I've just been trying to qualify for a couple of credit cards I don't actually plan to use but they will look good
