Benjamin is a tall, handsome man in his early thirties. He has a dark complexion and is six feet , with a bit of extra weight. He has been a successful writer over the years, starting to write when he was fourteen years old, focusing on prose and drama.
Since then, he has thrived in the business nonstop. There are times when he faces criticism in one way or another, but he never gives up. He has a particular friend whom he met at a book launch of one of his colleagues, and they have developed a close relationship since then.
However, while Benjamin has triumphed, Donald finds it difficult to even publish a book. Benjamin has helped him several times, but he gets little or no readers to buy his books.
Therefore, Donald has developed bad feelings toward Benjamin. He thinks Benjamin has some charm that makes him continually thrive more than he does.
Every year, Benjamin releases a new book, and it's always a bestseller, while Donald remains unknown, even though Benjamin has tried to help him several times.
He even advised Donald to change his niche, to stop writing drama and prose, and switch to poetry, which he was really good at, but Donald wouldn't listen.
He always feels that, so far, his friend is thriving in writing prose and dramas and is making it, so he can also do the same.
Nevertheless, Donald began to develop grudges and bitterness towards his friend Benjamin, and the innocent man was not even aware of it. So, after he released another book, Donald set up criticism against him.
He paid some people to criticize the book and make sure they brought down Benjamin's image. But even though the criticism was very harsh, it didn't affect him.
He kept moving forward, and after a few months, he was able to get over the bad criticism of his book, and everything went back to normal.
Then, on a second attempt, Donald attempted to blackmail blackmail his friend, Benjamin.
He wanted to blackmail him for stealing people's writing and stories and publishing them. He secretly published a news story that the headline claimed Benjamin buys stories and that none of his stories are originally written by him.
This almost destroy the successful writer's career. But after some time, he was okay, and everything was able to be rectified. However, the person behind all this has not been identified yet.
Then, on the last attempt, when those two schemes did not work, Donald went the extra mile to seek a diviner to invoke charms and make Benjamin go blind for some years so that he would not be able to write or do anything again.
He paid the man handsomely, and the work started. Unfortunately, the effect of the evil charm turned against him, and he was the one who became blind instantly.
The man had already warned him that the person he was trying to blind was not just anyone and had a force backing him up. But he wouldn't listen.
He said he should go ahead. Now, Donald is the one who can't see. However, after a few months, Benjamin noticed the disappearance of his friends so he visited by going to his house, where he discovered that Donald was blind and could not see anything.
Benjamin was confused and worried for his friend. He was curious and heartbroken, cried pitifully for his friend's predicament which the cause was unknown to him yet.
He tried to save him medically but to no avail. It was getting worse, and the doctors even advised him against trying another surgery else it would adversely affect other parts of his body, especially his brain. No remedy, only a miracle can open his eyes.
Benjamin felt pity for his friend. Then one day, Donald confessed everything he had done.
He then asked the question, "How do you do it? How do you always escape all these arrows aimed at you? How do you always come back? How do you always win?"
Benjamin responded and told him that behind every successful man is a strong woman. "My mom has been the director behind the scenes of my life."
Each time I'm at war, losing my peace of mind, feeling weak and angry I go to her; she prays for me, encourages me, and makes sure every single day starts off well.
When I was blackmailed, she took it seriously, showed concern, arranged for help, and even worked on eliminating the source. She was behind me all along, "said Benjamin".
Also, when my books were being criticized, she told me that criticism is a step to improve yourself and not to bring you down. I believed in her words and keep moving.
Bad criticism comes from haters. So, whenever I see negative comments on my book, I should never react because the comments that many people see are just the bad comments from haters. I never think about it, "Benjamin explained further".
Regarding the evil charm that Donald used in him, Benjamin said it backfired because he had a praying woman who always stands behind him, behind the scenes.
So, Benjamin wished his friend well and promised to support him finally whenever he needs but may not be coming to see him anymore. Donald regretted every of his actions.
He said, "I shouldn't have done what I did. I should have let him be."
Benjamin continued to grow and expand, winning many awards in addition to the ones he already had. God was with him, and his mother stood by him in every way.
