On the sickbed, he glows with so much radiance: faint smiles, weak breaths, skinny flesh, and a full face. He lies down like a lifeless body. Her parents wipe tears frequently from their faces, offering silent prayers for their first child's recovery.
James had been very brilliant boy right from his childhood. He became sick when he was about rounding up in college. He was rushed to the college clinic by his colleagues one morning after he fainted on the walkway. He was later referred to the State Hospital where he would be properly treated. He had Severe Pneumonia.
Miracles can happen, but it is certain that he wouldn't make it after a few days; these were the doctor's last words earlier that day.
James, the younger and second son, was eavesdropping when his parents met with the doctor. He simply left the hospital to go sit at the reception.
As soon as James sat down, he drifted into a heavy sleep. When he awoke, he found himself strolling beside the road, then he crossed to the other side. It seemed like he needed to move faster; while doing so, he saw an old truck just about to take off, and he quickly jumped on it.
The truck drove a very long distance. When the driver finally stopped on a shady road, he went to the back of the truck to check his tire. James hid himself in a corner, covering himself with the sack he found in the truck. All of a sudden, the driver spoke in a calm voice, "Young man, you should go back home before you lose your brother," he said after dropping a letter in the truck.
James was anxious when he heard the man's voice; it was soft yet echoed through the air, and no one seemed to see him. However, James uncovered himself and found no one but a purple letter on top of the truck. He picked it up and read what was inside.
The letter read: "Read this into the ears of your brother three times, and he shall live. You have 10 minutes; otherwise, your brother dies."
James lost control instantly; the thought of losing his only brother tormented him. He ran as fast as he could back to the hospital. It seemed like he had wings while going back.

He used only 8 minutes running at high speed, an unimaginable feat. When he got to the hospital, he wasn't allowed in because there was an emergency. His brother was gasping for breath while some nurses and a doctor were trying to stabilize him.
"I can't let him die like this," James thought as he forced his way in, despite the restrictions. He wouldn't give up; at that point, he shouted his brother's name, "John." Then he opened the purple letter and read the words aloud. He did that three times as instructed, and then his parents came and took him away so he wouldn't disturb the doctors.
BACK TO THE HOSPITAL
James woke up suddenly. He had been dreaming all this while, still sitting at the reception. Then he remembered his dying brother and rushed to the ward to see a miracle. His brother, John, was sitting up, eating, and even interacting with their mom and dad.
James ran to embrace him. He thought he had lost his brother to the cold hands of death but couldn't comprehend how he had overcome it.
I heard your voice; your echoes resounded in my ears while I was sleeping, John said, still holding James in a tight embrace.
You came in and read a letter to me. The words were real, and the letters flew into my nostrils. I sneezed thrice because you read it thrice, so I am awake now, and I'm totally healed.
"Wow, is it real?" I thought I was dreaming, James said in amazement as he moved away from his brother. "What were those words in the letter?" he asked further.
"You shall not die, you shall live. Arise!"
"You shall not die, you shall live. Arise!!"
"You shall not die, you shall live. Arise!!!"
Then I saw those words arranged in a line, flying towards me like butterflies.
John repeated,
"Awesome!" James responded, still confused because it all happened in his dream. Moreover, his brother was discharged the following morning.
