If I were tasked with consuming two frogs I would certainly postpone it until the late afternoon, and even then I would start with the smaller one first. This seems to me the most logical course of action to allow for some unanticipated event, such as the abscondment of said amphibians, to render their consumption unnecessary.
While I can appreciate the rationale of tackling the most difficult job first, it is my experience that a little procrastination allows my subconscious to work on the most effective toad ingestion procedure while I'm completing lesser tasks. Plus, the added confidence gained from these tiny accomplishments makes what seemed like a gargantuan undertaking in the morning, later seem like a piece of cake.
Thus, in many cases, I find procrastination to be the most efficient practice, but productive procrastination of course! Yes, I get stuff done, with excellent results, when I put it off until the very last minute.
Take Hive for example. For reasons entirely unknown, I write exclusively in response to prompts. I spend days musing upon the subject, writing not a single word until just before the witching hour when I will pen the most magnificent magnum opus in the space of 30 minutes and post it right on the deadline.
I was the same in school. I couldn't study a subject until hours before an essay was due. That way, I wasted no time writing and rewriting it. The night before my final exams would find me playing a gig until midnight, studying on the bus to the exam hall and still achieving grades as good as someone who spent months in preparation. Genius? Hardly! Excellent time management? Absolutely!
And so my advice is, if it's your job to eat a frog, it's best to do it last thing in the evening And If it's your job to eat two frogs, it's best to eat the smallest one first.
