I want to finish off the week with a simple steak recipe using similar ingredients that I used in the rather complicated dried beef recipe. If you missed out, you can see find all 4 parts of that recipe on my profile.
You don't need the most expensive cuts to make a great steak, but preparation is important.
I've got some nice juicy sirloin steaks for my barbecue. Start by massaging the meat with your hands to tenderize it.
Ingredients
- Sirloin Steak
- Fresh Lemon
- Coriander Seeds
- Black Pepper
- Salt
- Worcester Sauce (optional)
Squeeze the lemons over the steaks and add the spices with a dash of Worcester sauce. Again, use your hands to massage the spices into the meat.
You need a lot of heat to cook beef and you want to cook the steaks as fast as possible to keep the meat tender.
Remember to only cook the meat once on each side, or it will get tough.
My lovely wife made the salad, beans and spinach to complete our delicious and healthy TV dinner for 2.
