Hello ASEAN HIVE how are you today ? I hope everything is good
Today i want to make a post about my activity with my friends when cleaning and tidy up the Soccer Field near my places in North Aceh, Indonesia. Let's see how we did it, stay tuned.
In this post I will show you the activities we do to clean and tidy up the soccer field. My friends and I did it for the first time today, and I think we'll be done in 3-4 days.
This field is a soccer field which is close to my house, my friends from various places often play here, it has been several months since this field has been neglected and this field has been covered with grass and long wild weeds. That's because the field has not been used for several months because there is something that causes the field to be closed for a while. But this time the field can be used as usual, but we have to clean it first.
There are many youths in my area who help in the cleaning process of this field and they work together. I only control them and also help with easy things. LOL
They use a lawn mower as shown in the picture, the tool is a motorized lawn mower that is commonly used. The lawn mower can be carried, so it can be carried around easily. The lawn mower is connected to a single iron rod and is also connected to the main engine. We took turns using them because the cleaners only had 2 lawn mowers, and that would make the job take longer. Usually they cut the grass using a special lawn mower, but in order to save money, we did our best with a simple lawn mower.
This form of lawn mower is very easy to use for anyone. This is because it is small and easy to operate, the only problem is in terms of oil. This machine drinks a lot of oil for just a few meters.
For a pitch size of 110 meters, you can imagine how much fuel this machine requires, but that's the only option for our soccer field cleaning this time.
Cleaning is prioritized on elongated grass and weeds that sometimes stick to clothes when we pass them. The mowing starts from the left side to the right side of the field, taking the side like this should shorten the distance instead of having to take the long side. After mowing the long sections of grass, our plan was to trim the uneven sections of the grass so that all the grass was level.
While mowing the grass with a lawn mower, we also piled up the cut grass by pulling it with a grass puller. This is a little difficult to do, because the grass is still thick and the grass puller is made of plastic. We have to be very patient with this. This puller is only able to pull leaves in the yard and instead of being used to pull strong grass in a field of this size, maybe the next day we will try to provide a more adequate grass puller.
The drawn grass is collected to form a pile as shown in the picture. The pile will be very high as long as there is still a lot of grass to be pulled. The pile of grass will be burned to prevent it from being scattered, but first it will be removed from the middle of the field. Small children will usually really like to jump on the grass and sometimes they will itch. For today alone we have made dozens of piles of grass that have been cut even though it is only 30% of the total grass that will be cut.
These grasses are also usually used for people who have livestock and they don't have to bother cutting it anymore, they just take it here.
Because it has been neglected for too long, there is also a lot of waste from drinking water. We also clean it and burn it. The danger is, this plastic waste will harm the lawn mower because sometimes they will get caught in the mower blades on the lawn mower and it will be very dangerous. Therefore, before the cutting starts, we first drag this plastic waste between the thick grass with a plastic grass puller and it is very troublesome. There are many materials that are harmful to lawn mowers apart from plastic waste, namely rocks, and the scary thing is that these rocks will bounce and can injure someone. We never know what's in the thick grass, and we need to get rid of it before we mow the lawn with a lawn mowers.
We burnt the pile of grass and garbage earlier so they don't scatter, and we make a lot of pollution today. LOL
But during the burning process, we have to keep it from spreading to other areas considering that grass is one of the things that can burn easily because it is dry. Moreover, not all parts of the grass have been trimmed, the edges of the field are still not trimmed and the grass is still long, and this long grass will be very easily burned by burning fires, if they spread they can scorch the entire field.
There is a very clear difference between the grass that has been cut and the grass that has not been cut, we only cut the inside area of the field and after everything is done, then we will try to tidy up the outside of the field. Since the outside is not used for playing football, so we can postpone it for some time.
Maybe that's all I can explain in this post, I hope you like it. Thank you and see you in another post.
