Mar. 11, 22: Routine, Web Research, Oculus, Crashing, Trivia Night, TV, and Games
Slept about eight to four today, but ended up another hour short according to the FitBit. Considering I crashed out in the afternoon for the second day in row, I suppose I have to agree. š Kindaā wish I could turn off or at least set the snoring alarm. š¤¬
Just the normal, usual, same old regarding the morning routine. Chatted a bit in Discord, shifted tokens, hit the faucets, checked the crypto marketsā¦still trading sideways in the range we were stuck in for months not long ago.
Worked on my post for the day, got it posted and shared and that and then spent quite a bit more time searching for a way to solve the website security problemā¦at this point Iām considering just creating a password system, but that still requires streaming blocks (which is basically the same problem - running JavaScript on the server side).
That was my one and only goal for this entire week and all Iāve managed to do is figure out ways I canāt do what I need to do. š”šš¤¬ Iām not sure, while thereās something about being an āindie developerā and not having any particular obligation to anyone else, having someone with some skill and experience would take a load off my shoulders and would likely speed up progressā¦donāt really have to funds to pay someone a salary, though, or even a modestly working product to attract anyone. 𤬠Stuck in a catch 22 a bit.
Really not sure what to doā¦I went back in and dug through the Hive code again and finally found the actual memo.encrypt function. Trying to see if I can replicate the process in PHP, and I have a vague understanding of what itās doing, but there was a dependency that I wasnāt able to track down yetā¦seems to me like the path least likely to succeed, but itās all Iāve got at the moment if I want to maintain Hive integration on the client side (if they have a password, then Hive keys arenāt really necessary. š¤š¤·).
Got frustrated, surprise surprise, and jumped into VR for a while. Worked on a Puzzling Places puzzle for a little bit and then jumped into Vox Machinae since I was feeling guilty about buying games and not playing them. Unfortunately, I didnāt even make it through one mission before I started to feel wicked sick from the motion. š¢
Quit out and was bored with my life again and decided to give up. Put on a scary movie: Winchester (about the Winchester house - based on the true story) and watched some of it but ended up crashing out. Woke up for the last five minutes or so and basically had no idea what was going on. Luckily it was just about time for Trivia Night over on Pizza! šš
Did quite well today and was able to withdraw twelve PIZZA from tipCC! š¤ Fun timesā¦I joined in for the picture guessing game this time, Gartic or whatever itās called, and actually got a couple! Itās hard, though, people are fast! We made it to thirty or so before we got stuck.
Got a (needed) shower and a shave šŖ and when Wenche got home she made an omelette for dinner and we watched some tube and I played my Splinterlands until bedtime. We plowed through Inbetweeners and then through Medical Police and so weāre on the hunt yet again. š¢
I did have a little over a thousand steps left to go for the day when I started getting ready for bed and, in all honesty, I cheated a bit, but I did keep the streak alive.
Oh, dShitty, how can you keep on like this? Youāre a 90% eaten zombiefied corpse dragging itself along by itās tongue just looking for some sucker to come along and get eaten by āmath.ā
Went in a couple times today on Rising Star. I didnāt know where my Ego was at, so I kept on with missions, but I ran out of energy and did a lesson anyway. Seems like I finally got it back to zero.
Nothing interesting going on today on HashKings; just waiting out the clock for now. They did announce a new partnership with Blast! a new tower defense game coming out, which seems to be another sink for BUDS. Thereās also going to be an airdrop based on avatar levelā¦kindaā regret starting so late. š±
Only one more day left until my first harvest:
Played a ton of Splinterlands today and made some solid progress! šŖ
Got on a solid win streak and broke up into Diamond II! š„³
I got Death splinter again for my quest todayā¦like three or four days in a row now! Switched and got Fire splinter instead; wouldnāt have been my first choice, but it went alright. Got it done in Diamond II. Not too bad rewards today, got some cards and a little DEC:
Only had two more cards left to get to level eight with the Pelacore Mercenary, so went in and got them on the marketā¦not too bad, only like 30 DEC or something. Otherwise, just staked up my drop as I have been and still havenāt sold any more vouchers. I did check in on what I have and was tempted to move more out, but I didnāt since I wasnāt really going to sell the ones already there at half price (relatively speaking).
