July 3, 21: AutomaticWin, DoubleDay, Grocery Shopping, Soccer, and...

Up at six this morning and a little over an hour short of my sleep goal. Not been dragging to bad, lately though, so I’m going to say it’s good for now.

Got on with the morning routine and was very frustrated that my Polygon wallet all of a sudden went haywire and wouldn’t show any of my balances and I didn’t even want to try any transactions since the wallet kept disconnecting from Polydragon. 😱

Things are still new and being worked on over there, so though it is frustrating getting a bunch of failed transactions clogging up my trx history, it’s not terrible; it’s a good sign actually, means there’s development and work being done.

I’m hoping that as more and more systems get built bridging across all these chains Polygon will gain in usage and token prices will rise…not sure the ETH EIP will be able to compete with such low fees (ETH isn’t really fixing the fee problem, they’re just patting themselves on the back for destroying them.

Between the rain and the conference, we didn’t get any walking done at all last weekend and certainly no #AutomaticWin, so it was back into the swing of things today. 💪

I was kind of surprised and disappointed to see that it was so cold this morning…friggin’ supposed to be the middle of the summer! I even considered putting on a jacket, but it wasn’t really that bad.

We did end up getting sprinkled on and I had long stuff on, but it was comfortable, especially with jogging to get the #AutomaticWin.

Out right about with the sunshine. Clouds ☁️ didn’t want to move out of the way yet, though…had to piddle on us a bit first.

Kind of considered entering this one into the Love the Clouds contest. I definitely love those God’s rays…looks so cool!

Amazing what some hardcore rain will do…was only a year or two ago that the corn 🌽 looked totally sad and got all fried out. Last time we were here (two weeks ago) they were only about waist high, now they’re over our heads!

The pond was pretty active with fishes and turtles 🐢 today. 😄

Even though this is Milkweed, which is an invasive species here, it does have lovely flowers (and the butterflies like it). 🦋 Haven’t really seen that many this year…not many dragonflies either. 😢 Wonder if it has something to do with all the spraying they did last year? 🤷

After we got back we went into town to do the grocery shopping. It’s usually a Sunday thing we do, but we didn’t go last week and so we were in need of basically everything. Lots of the stuff we get was on sale as well, so not only did we refill, we stocked up a little.

Got everything put away and I was able to get a sandwich for lunch again. 😋 Then I realized that there was Euro Soccer Finals!!! 🥅 ⚽️ Took me a bit and I had to download and sign up for the ESPN app, but I was able to watch the games. 😁

England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 absolutely crushed 4-0, so it wasn’t much contest and I got some chores done…emptied the dishwasher, did the pile of dishes that had backed up in the sink, cleaned up, unclogged and cleaned out the bathroom drain…fairly productive considering I was “watching soccer.” 😂

My ActiFit exchange was due up; well, overdue since I didn’t do one at all last week, so I got that posted up and set. 🤑

Spent a little snuggle time in the afternoon and had a nice hot shower and a shave. Just snagged some Braunschweiger on bread for a quick dinner, fussed about my DeFi (Polygon) not working, and busted some laps to finish out the #DoubleDay while watching YouTube reviews of electric lawnmowers.

Kinda’ looking to go all electric on the yard machines; thinking about/hoping to replace the blower and the weed whip and chainsaw as well, all with interchangeable batteries; seems a lot easier and nicer than fighting with the old gas ones I’ve got. We shall see.

Played some Splinterlands to finish out the day and got a lot of my post done for tomorrow morning since it’s Fourth of July and all that parade and jazz. Then it was plop in front of the tube and bedtime.

An income of 69 SIM is equal to an income of 66 SIM because dShitty is a “mathematical” game (shittily 😛).

Despite pouring about five hundred million gold into stats and buying potions, I still can’t seem to make any progress on Holybread. I did get all my tasks done for today, though! 🤩

Still holding at sixth, more or less been stuck here for a while, but I’m very glad I haven’t fallen further.

I got super lucky on CryptoBrewmaster and pulled a superior (blue) lager worth 19.8 CBM! Not too bad! 🍻 Got it sold out and started another ingredient going.

I did do one mission today on Rising Star, but I realized that my Ego is still resulting in a penalty to how many starbits I can earn, so I mostly did music lessons all day to raise my skill and I got a mid-range guitar 🎸 to help with those as well and increase my unique cards.
