Slept eight to six today for a solid night’s sleep! 🥳 Still having trouble motivating myself to work on the website, but I didn’t hardly drag at all, didn’t waste any time playing Oculus or napping, and I did do a little work preparing for next semester (got my WebAssign courses created).

Morning routine was fairly routine, but cryptos moving up nicely! Even our old buddy HIVE was seeing some love:

Glad to see MATIC starting to catch a bid; took a risk on that and it’s starting to pay off a little…even FIRE been rising significantly! I did have a flip on Aave where the interest I owed was more than the interest I’d earned, so I claimed my Aave reward and paid the debt down by a couple dollars. My risk profile is fine, super green, but I like knowing that I could instantly pay off the entire debt I’d i wanted or needed to.

Did laps to score the #AutomaticWin and talked with my dad for a while on the phone. Got my post posted, but it wasn’t really done…was going to go in and edit, but I ended up keeping myself busy for the rest of the day.

Spent a bit of time over on Discord at the Splinterlands and Leo AMAs. Not really much noteworthy, Aggroed patted himself on the back for an hour and then Kahl jibbered on about IDOs and how they’re inventing anything and everything they can to try and suck money out of people, give them “reasons” to want to buy CUB. 😏😂

How’s this for some crazy logic: my Splinterlands cards have risen in value, so I decided to work on my classic car. 🤣 Seriously, though. I checked peakmonsters and I was looking at forty thousand bucks…not to mention, if things stay more or less the same, a nice chunk of change in terms of SPS as well!

That sparked me to start looking at kit planes again…something that goes “zoom” (with wings!). Even if I did actually get one, though, I’d need space in the garage…space that’s filled by a car already. Then I thought: why spend all that when you’ve got a beautiful project sitting there already?! So I’ve been watching some YouTube videos of engine tear downs and trying to build back confidence to work on it.

Meanwhile, there’s years of crap piled up all around it out there, to the point that you can hardly get to it even if you wanted to work on it. 😢 So I spent the afternoon into the evening working on cleaning things up out there.

I’d been hoarding paper for years and it was all piled up in the corner of the garage. I’d been making fire logs out of it, shredding it up and pressing it with some water, but it’s been several years since I did that and we don’t even have a wood burner, so I finally said “enough” and burned it all!

Quite a lot of work hauling it all out there and it’s probably going to burn for at least a day. Don’t feel all that great about it, but it’s not a mess and a fire hazard in the garage any more and I have more space to move around the car and get to tools.

Stripped down some wire as well and threw out the rest of the electronic garbage that was piled on the bench…really just want the copper. Unfortunately, several of the cables turned out to be the crappy coaxial style and so I took off the aluminum sheathing and just threw the rest out, really not enough copper in those tiny wires to warrant all the work it takes to strip them.

There’s still some work to be done out there to be able to freely get to the car, but it’s significantly better, for sure! Will help when we get a load taken to the dump…old appliance parts are taking up a lot of space. 😱

Got a well-earned shower and we had some leftovers for dinner. Watched some Flash and then hit the sack.

Doesn’t really matter that my dShitty income is supposed to be in triple digits for once. Naw, Bank robberies several days in a row and throw on some crises for “fun.” Always a way to be screwed by this nonsense.

At least Solairitas’ daily HIVE income is into the the hundredths now…maybe I’ll make back my original investment when I’m two hundred years old or so.

Once again got a couple ingredients on CryptoBrewmaster today. Been going in a lot more frequently lately. Still, need water yet, so hopefully I be able to brew here shortly.

Did some more Rising Star missions and lessons. I went in to the market and decided on getting another person that was available for ten thousand Starbits, but when I put the withdrawal in H-E borked out. By the time I finally got it, the card was gone. 🤬 Instead, I got a couple more cheap instruments.

Played quite a bit of Splinterlands despite how unhappy it’s been making me. I think that was one of the, if not the, longest losing streak I’ve ever had. 😢 Three days of playing and nothing but losses. I figured it had to end eventually, and I did finally get a win today.

Still really sucked, though. Mostly seriously OP rented decks. Not sure why they’re even in Gold…just hanging around to dominate and get easy wins, I suppose. Got pitted several times against decks more than triple my deck power as well, so the matchmaking is fucked…eventually it stopped working altogether and I was happy to quit.

I did finally end my misery with that Death splinter quest. Once again, I should really stick to my word and quit since the rewards were nothing but bullshit potions and a bit of DEC (said I would quit when there were no rewards cards). Anyway, not really worth the time or frustration:
