I crashed out wicked early last night watching Without a Paddle, like just shortly after seven. Woke up a couple times in the night, but slept all the way until quarter of six! That made for a seriously solid night and even a little bit extra! Nine and a half hours, baby, count it! š„³
Got a bit of a late start on the morning routine as a result, but got all the normal stuff done, worked on my post, got my stuff together and ready for work, lunch made, showered and posted and was out the door right about on time. Waiting for the brofund bot had gotten rediculous again, so I posted a few minutes before ten to give myself a buffer since it was going to skip me anyway. š¤¬
Not a whole lot to mention otherwise, at least nothing that I can think ofā¦WAX is still screwing me over with CPU, so I havenāt been able to do anything for several days and my Polygon investments continue to fall against ETH, hooray!
The drive in was fine and I got there with time to spare. In Algebra we looked some more at linear programming properly and systems of inequalities. We went over another curve fitting example to practice row reduction some more and then I showed them how to figure out what the rotation and reflection matrices are.
All you have to do is do what you want (say rotate ninety degrees) to your basis vectors and youāll get the matrix that will rotate any vector ninety degrees whenever you multiply by it! I find that super cool and I think it finally clarified for them what I had meant when I said that they rotate the objects in CGI by multiplying by a matrixā¦Iād said that several times, but now theyāve seen how it works. š¤
Headed out for lunch and watched some YouTube to kill time. Chatted for a few on Pizza server and then headed back in for Calculus. I showed them some more about differentials and then I derived ds as a foreshadowing for next semester.
Other than that, we played around with some more u-sub examples, particularly ones that result in inverse trig functions. Iām not exactly sure how it happened, but I mentioned relativity (oh, in the context of partial derivatives since I was foreshadowing multivar) and then a student asked me about dark energy and dark matter and we kind of went off the rails for a while.
It was still pretty early, but I didnāt think I was really going to be able to pull them back from the tangents on tangents that we ended up going down with astrophysics, so I let them go. I stayed after for a while and answered some questions, but with a smooth drive home I was settled in by five or so.
When Wenche got home she made us an omelette and toast for dinner and we watched a comedy special. I only half paid attention because the majority of his ājokesā were about how stupid it is that people donāt just blindly take the vax. 𤬠He said a couple funny things, but I didnāt enjoy it for the most part.
She put on a new series Queen of the South, and it seems to be alright but I was only half paying attention to that as well; played my Splinterlands quest and mucked about in Pizza for a while and then hit the hay, but late, nearly ten! š®
I did realize that Iād somehow skipped a day in my lifetime step record. Turns out it was the thirty-first Iād forgotten to record and it was a twenty thousand step day, so that brought my average up by a bit!
dShitty has long since surpassed my capacity for comprehension; the wild gyrations in income unrelated to any information presented makes it a complete black boxā¦income is still negative, whatever that means, and I got a massive six out of hundreds today for some reason (your guess is as good as mine).
Apparently, the backgrounds are only meaningless on mobileā¦on desktop you can see the city. š¤¬
Seems like it was another one mission day today on Rising Star. Reset it when I did my post in the morning and that was pretty much the extent of my thinking about it. Iām not in bad shape I suppose; finally got to the next level and have broken above 100k Starbits and my Ego is at zero, but itās just slow (by design and by my boredom with it).
Credit where credit is due, I suppose. At least the site actually updated to reflect the seeds from the MOTA pool, but that also means Iām nearly two full harvests behind now and still havenāt been able to perform even the most basic of actions.
They did, apparently, fix the staking problem, but I really donāt have any interest in sinking more money into janky systems.
Played out my Splinterlands quest in the evening as usual. Not too bad, still holding in Diamond and made a little progress.
I had Earth splinter for my quest today, which I was pretty happy about, and outside of a couple rip-off losses (like stunned every turn), it went fairly smoothly. Got it done in Diamond III, but the rewards have really gotten to be consistently crappy. I know theyāll cry ārandom number generatorā but when the rewards have been this stupid in the past (tons of potions and piddly little amounts of DEC and stupid, worthless common cards - ahem Pelacore Conjurer) Iāve just quit playing because itās not worth the time or frustration.
My SPS drop fell hard today, by at least a couple, not to mention that I somehow lost over four hundred and sixty bucks worth of value and even though, once again, I have that much more, itās that much less than $5k. 𤬠Didnāt make any moves with vouchers today, have a few sitting waiting, but havenāt pulled the trigger despite only having one SWAP.HIVE left. š±
Got my stats for last week. Kind of disappointed, to be honest. Iād really expected it to be all green arrows. I know Iāve been running short on sleep, but I thought for sure Iād napped enough to make up for it; guess not, and even with a proper walk on Sunday and two days of teaching my steps were down. š¢
