Crypto is gaining popularity. It could be that as much as 14% of the US population owns crypto currency. At least according to a poll from the Gemini exchange, as detailed in a recent report.

Maybe it's a bit biased as to who they are going to be selecting for the survey, since it is coming from a survey of 3000 US adults aged 18 to 64 with 40,000 or more in household income. It's already there you have a bit of a selection criteria that excludes some of the population.

The data shows that most are men, with 74% of crypto holders. Also, most are under 45, at 77%. The elderly generation doesn't seem that much interested in crypto. And the majority are white, at 71%.

According to the data, the average crypto currency owner is a 38-year-old male whose income is around hundred $111,000 year. That is quite a hefty salary.

What's great about this is that these figures are for 2020. In the expectation is that the stats will double by the end of 2021.

When it comes to what they're investing in, obviously bitcoin is at the top. Since when everyone thinks of crypto, bitcoin is what comes to mind. Most people haven't even heard of other crypto's. At least I was in 2020.

I bet if you did this pull now, DOGE would be pretty big in terms of representation of what people have heard about. Obviously bitcoin would still be the king, but ETH has become a lot more well-known in recent months. Obviously with the hype from celebrities and popular people, DOGE has been injected into the consciousness of the mainstream.

Crypto is really going to grow in 2021. It will be amazing to see where things are in 2025. As the world going to become a crypto world? Time will tell.
