This is my entry for the #monomad challenge by 
I am almost certain that this is the same squirrel that I posted about before. I wrote in that post that the squirrel looked as though she was "clutching pearls". I caught her visiting again except this time it was raining out but she didn't seem to mind the rain much.
I do now think that this is a female squirrel. I wondered then if she could be pregnant or just eating well. Turns out that a short time ago I saw two small squirrels scampering along a wooden fence on a side of the property. I've seen them one other time as well so I hope they are okay. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get a photo of them but that is just how it goes sometimes and I'm just as happy to have only seen them.
I also saw what looked like a young squirrel jumping at the House Sparrows that were eating from the bird feeders. I know that the squirrels don't care for the seed that I put in the feeders so perhaps it was only playing. It all happened very quickly as the squirrel jumped at the birds a couple of times then ran off into the trees. I never thought that squirrels would attack birds but it turns out that I was wrong. I just now looked it up and it turns out that the squirrel going after the birds may have actually been looking to make a meal out of one. I guess I'm gonna have to keep my eyes open to see if that squirrel keeps coming around. I saw, what I believe to have been the momma squirrel, way up in a tree a couple of weeks ago. I'll show you what she was doing up in that tree in an upcoming post though .. and, no, it didn't involve any of the birds! 馃槈
