December twelfth was the last full moon of 2019. My first short set of photos were taken last night (Thursday).
This full moon is also known as the Cold Moon. I can see why too as I about froze my butt off taking these photos...lol.
You may also know this full moon as the Long Night Moon, Moon Before Yule and Oak Moon. It goes by other names as well but I do like Cold Moon and Long Night Moon as I find those names most fitting (for me).
Last night, I was also able to see the planets Venus and Jupiter. It was pretty cool seeing them even if I didn't get photos. I read that the moon should still be visible this morning so I may wander out into the yard to see if I can get an unobstructed view of it.
I took the next short set of photos on Wednesday night. When I first went outside the moon was hanging out behind some trees and I couldn't focus in on it but I do love the way the next couple of photos came out anyway.
This is my last photo and I took it after the moon had moved away from the trees a bit. Yep! Looks just like the Thursday night moon. I also kinda' think that it looks like a cantaloupe. Hmmm, Cantaloupe Moon...I think it could work! 馃 馃榿
