The path of life is not smooth. When I was very young I wondered when I would grow up and then life would be so beautiful. When I went to school with a bunch of books, I walked and thought when this study would end and when I would be able to move around independently where there would be no rule for silly mistakes. Then when I got a little older and learned to smoke, I wondered why I had to smoke in secret. At that age I used to think that I would walk down the street with cigarette where there will be no one to fear. I just felt like time was running so slowly and my independence is far away.
Then when I was admitted to the university, life took a different turn. Then I observed the life as a combination of both freedom and subjugation. At this time, my parents may not have complained about my studies, but I was a little responsible to myself to get a good result after finishing my studies.
However, at this stage of life, the definition of freedom seems to be different. Now, despite having endless freedom, I am submissive to myself. Now when I don’t go home in the evening no one scolds me but still I go home because my kids want me to give them time. I have to wake up in the morning even though the body and mind wants a little relaxing but it can’t be done because I have to go to the office.
Now I realize that my childhood life was much more colorful and enjoyable than it is today. I might have been under strict rules at that age but I had a lot more mental freedom. Except for the time of study, the whole time was my own. Jumping into the water of the pond, endless chatting with friends, playing football in the afternoon, running on the open field to see the rainbow on a rainy day, everything was so sweet and joyful. This was my adolescence and endless freedom.
So today my mind wants to go back to the time of my abandoned adolescence where there was no fear. These random thoughts came to my mind while walking this Wednesday. I am sharing some pictures of that time with you. I hope you have enjoyed.
Thanks.
Stay safe and healthy.
