Again, I am asking how do you feel about technology? Is it your friend or foe?
Personally, I can't wait to try new things. I wish I had the money to try everything I see.
There are ups and downs, of course, so I'd like to do another article about some of the technology that has become part of everyday life.
Last time I talked about the Smartphone, Streaming Entertainment, and Online Medicine. Now, I'll kick off with mobile applications.
- Mobile Apps
CERAiT Inc
Imagine life if you couldn't look things up on your phone while you are on the move. It would certainly be inconvenient. Now we can check on road conditions, travel times and the weather wherever we are. We just have to use an app.
It seems that there is an app for everything from learning a new language to booking a funeral and checking out a new person to date!
Life without apps is unthinkable.
- elearning
ComLab India
There are many types of elearning. Some courses are known as MOOCs (massive open online courses). I believe in lifelong learning so I've done two Open University courses, an online diploma course in art and a few dozen 'Future Learn' courses. All these at my own convenience.
Education technology doesn't stop there. Textbooks are giving way to tablets and whiteboards you write on are giving way to digital whiteboards. I love it all!
- Ways to Pay
Justia's Verdict
Using credit and debit cards to pay was' the new thing' not so long ago. Now it's giving way to paying with your phone. Virtual currencies are creeping in, accepted already by a few big companies.
When was the last time you used cash?
There are many more developments. Please tell me about them!
Thank you for viewing!
