Some of it may have to do with where you live .... California is kinda up on the tech scene, so it would be theoretically possible for me to run into Hivers I know in my locale ... I know of several Californians, and some are roughly within my locale...

As for this being a gamble ... I think of it as a present opportunity. If one learns how to best move, one can immensely benefit one's life and future right now. Time would fail me to tell of all the personal benefits to me on Hive, but the passive income opportunities alone are SOMETHING ... 12 percent on HBD savings compared to WHATEVER my local bank is offering... delegation to accounts doing curation and those returns compared to WHATEVER my local bank is offering... and the fact that I just increase my investment as I roll through here, creating content I can remix and repackage and make more from ... the Lofton County Universe, created here, makes me USD too nowadays, in a small but increasing little stream, and opens doors to connections that I never would have had across the country, in a number of different spheres! One can make MUCH of Hive, now...
