The contrast between the beauty and the pain ... I have had to withdraw from much of the traditional church music where I am because of favoritism and scandals, so I feel your pain deeply. I lost someone I loved to the foolishness ... he went along with it while I could not, and now hates me because I warned him and he would not listen and then found out the hard way. The capacity for wickedness in the human heart, even in the middle of the highest good this world affords, is heartbreaking ... but stand with clear conscience and courage where you can, and sing.
