In Jesus we see a father who treats all His children equally but differently. As destinies differs, so does life experiences. Your life can never be equalled to another in pattern, but is in fulfilment of God’s plan.
The manual for our lives does not just lye in the hands of the creator, but He has given it to us by His spoken and written words to guide our every step in life. He knows the best and all that has ever come your way is best known to Him.
Peter’s question was to know what was going to happen to John, but Jesus said that even if John were to escape death entirely, “what is that to you” you follow me”. We live in a time where we make comparison of success and when we seem not to meet up with someone we look up to or even live with, we tend to spiral down the slope of dejection and shame. Jesus has very different yet perfectly equal plans for all His servants.
It is easy to find ourselves wondering why God has so much blessed a fellow with good things of life but not us. Why do I suffer what others don’t? Why are things hard for me? It becomes more painful when we are pressurized by parents, spouse, siblings, children, pastors and all those around us in expectation of a greater performance and way of life from us.
I need you to understand that God places us in different situations for His perfect reasons. Rather than comparing ourselves to other believers, let’s acknowledge that our Father knows the best. As the heavens is far from earth, so are God’s way far from ours. He knows the best.
Never be pressurized to compromise or shift in your faith. Keep believing, it will turn to you for a testimony.
I believe God’s way is the very best way, though things seem tough and the storm billows roar, God is in the know, all things are falling together for me in pleasant places for i will soon rejoice in the God of my salvation.
