Dumplings are one type of dim sum (snacks). In Mandarin, this food is called shaomai, while in Cantonese it is called siu maai.
In Indonesian cuisine there are various types of variations of dumplings based on meat for contents, ranging from mackerel fish dumplings, shrimp, and crabs. In Indonesia, siomay is a typical food of Bandung.
This Bandung-style culinary is made from aci flour and fish, seasoned and then steamed, and served or eaten with boiled eggs, cabbage, tofu, potatoes and mixed with peanut sauce, which has been seasoned.
Siomay is found in several restaurants and stalls in the city of Bandung.
When served, siomai can be added with sweet soy sauce, chili sauce, or tomato sauce.
This is my favorite place if you want to buy dumplings. It tastes good and the price is not too expensive. If you pass through Denpasar, don't forget to stop by this place.
