Truecaller has introduced two new features in the application for the week and it comes with a number scanner and speed dial numbers.
The number scanner will allow users to scan a number directly from business cards, locations, street signs, storefronts or anywhere else, eliminating the need for manual entry to search for it or save a number in the contact list.
The feature can also be used to clear numbers, rather than QR codes, for direct payment using Truecaller Pay, the application's payment platform.
Narayan Babu, product and engineering manager at Truecaller said:
When you see an important phone number, you can save it directly to your phone using a trojan and use it in seconds to call or make a payment.
The fast access numbers, which will be available only in India, are the service that integrates free emergency numbers for services such as police, fire, medical care, a helpline for women and roadside assistance, as well as other basic categories to provide offline access.
He added:
During critical moments, you can access the right company, person or service with a single click with speed dial numbers.
