Playing online games is addicting. Just last year, I ventured in playing DotA 2. It seemed like a cool game and it's a multi-player battle. No doubt, a few months later I am still hooked with it.

I'm getting the hang of it but still, I have so many things to learn. It's all fun playing with my boyfriend and friends in one party. It's a 5 v 5 game so when we complete a 5-member party, playing is such an amazing experience. It's all fun until we're paired with others we don't know.

Yep, it's good when your teammates are not toxic but that's a gem in DotA 2. You're lucky if you're teamed up with decent people. What's the most annoying and infuriating that can ever happen is when you got to be teammates with noisy, curse-spouter, women/mom/child berater, self-entitled but with no skills, and self-proclaimed pro players. Sometimes, those traits are rolled in one creature. How bad can it get?

It's hard to be a beginner in DotA 2 because of toxic co-players. We can't expect a game with zero count of toxicity but if this inflated to like 90 % of players, ugh!

Instead of learning and having fun, you feel annoyed and sometimes, attacked. These toxic players are like Facebook trolls! Because they hide behind a username and avatar, they spout every insult they can think of. 😕😒

If you unluckily found them, you can hear them saying:

Noob ~ as if they started as a pro. Oh, are they pro now? Something to ponder but hey, if you're a human being with morals, even if you reach the top you know how to be humble. Or at least learn to shut up.

Peenoise ~ Foreigners says this a lot to Filipino players. But yeah, I've got to say that Filipino players, so far are the noisiest players I've encountered. Sometimes though, peenoise is just something they spout even when you're not saying anything. So ironic.

Indog ~ Players from Philippines and other race says this to Indonesian players. Talk about maturity 😒

Curses ~ This can range from native curses (p*tang!n@ m0, k0nt0l, g0bl0k, etc), and english curses such as (fck y0u, duMb@$$, s2pid, etc). They curse each other like it's the end of the world. I've got news for them, they are all hopeless.

Misogynist remarks ~ when they find you're a woman and you like died for the 1st time they will call you names, will insult your family or most likely your mother. BUT I'm not saying that boys only trastalk. Sometimes, they're girls who feel they're cool. They feel like they are some boyish badass. My advice: they should do some reality check first.

LOL, Mobile Legend Insults ~ you know this one. I got tired of hearing this. I don't play these games but really? Toxic DotA 2 players put themselves in a pedestal. 😂 Someone, tell them they're not!

Quit DotA ~ I hope they quit as toxic people, too. Moral Lesson of the Day: You don't tell people to quit because you feel like you're THE God. 😅😅😅 They don't even know that. If you're one of them, please quit being this person.

The Blamers ~ Oh, hey. In every game, these people are always present. They die, they blame you. You die, they blame you. The enemy players get fat, they blame you even if it's in their lane. They blame you if you did not get to throw a skill without thinking or looking if you're silenced or stunned. 😒

Valve did something about these toxic players and proposed a ban of 6 mos to proven abusive and toxic players. According to Valve's research, most players quit playing DotA not because of losing in a game but because of bad behavior from other players. Last month, I was notified that one of the players I reported got banned.

Just yesterday though, I got to be teammates with 2 of the worst players I ever met. I will put their profile here because yes, they still get away behind their pseudonames.
