Salamence ex & Illustration Rare Cards From Pokemon's 30th Anniversary Set
More Pokemon cards from the 30th anniversary special set are revealed.
Note that some cards from the Pokebeach site are in other languages.
Morpeko
Morpeko is a 70 HP Basic Lightning Pokemon with a one retreat cost and Fighting weakness.
The second attack, Slap, requires 1 Lightning Energy to deal 30 damage. This attack is good in the early game.
Select a Snack is not damaging attack. You discard the top 3 cards of your deck and then select 1 of the 3 to put into your hand. I am not sure if this attack is useful though.
Maushold
Maushold is the Stage 1 evolution of Tandemaus. This Maushold has a low HP amount at 80HP. The second attack, Pound, requires 1 Energy deals 40 damage.
Gnaw Together is a coin flip attack for 1 Energy. For each Maushold you flip a coin. For each heads, you discard the top 2 cards of the opponent's deck. If you get lucky, you can mill a lot of cards from the opponent's deck and maybe win. One rare win condition is decking out the opponent.
Salamence ex
Salamence ex is the final evolution of Bagon. It has 330 HP, a two retreat cost and no weakness.
The first attack, Booming Call, for 1 Energy lets you revive 3 Dragon Pokemon from the discard pile onto your Bench. These Dragon Pokemon don't have to be Basic Pokemon.
Dragon Pulse requires 1 Fire Energy and 1 Water Energy to deal 240 damage. The drawback is discarding the top 2 cards from your deck.
This Salamence ex does not seem very great overall.
Gholdengo
This new Gholdengo version is kind of interesting but I am not sure if this is playable.
The Triple Smash second attack for 1 Metal Energy deals 50 damage for each Heads out of 3 coin flips.
Celebration is an interesting attack. It does not deal damage but you take 2 Prize cards if you have 30 cards in hand. Then you shuffle your hand into your deck. Some decks do draw a lot of cards to the point where you have 10 or more cards in hand. Getting 30 cards in hand is almost impossible I think.
Illustration Rare Cards
There are more illustration rare card reveals for the 30th anniversary set.
These ones are very colourful. One of my favourites is Fuecoco. Fuecoco art cards have been pretty good in general.
