Hello, steemians. Have you ever taste the salak fruit before? I came up with this topic today because of my husband bought us some Salak from Sandakan, Sabah. He went there for a State level games held by Ministry of Health Department. Actually, my dad has once planted this kind of fruit at the back of our yard but he already cut this because of my mom build a mini flower nursery.
Salak fruits are also known as Snake Fruit. Well, you can see the skin of the fruit just look alike the snakeskin. When you touch the skin you can feel the scales. It looks shiny too.
The taste of this fruit is sweet. But, sometimes it tastes a little bit sour or bitter taste (like the taste of an unripe banana). The flesh is white in color and it has brown seed.
