Hi there.

I hope you're doing great!

I find insect anatomy quite fascinating. There are so many species with such varied bodies, colors, and functions that each one is like discovering a new world. That's why macro photography is one of my favorite hobbies. It's the only way to see them up close.

Yesterday I was at a dental congress sharing with some classmates and friends I hadn't seen in a while. In college, I was the odd one out who was always singing and taking pictures. After so many years of not seeing each other, they saw that I was still the same in that respect. Although I didn't sing, I was willing to take pictures.

Aunque no cantaba, estaba dispuesta a hacer fotos.

I had my macro lens in my bag in case I saw something interesting, and I did. As I came out of the girls' bathroom, I saw something very large moving over a window's grate. At that moment I thought it was a Mantis. I was very excited because I had never seen one before but I was wrong. It was not a Mantis.

Although I knew this insect, it didn't cross my mind at the time that it could be a stick insect. I took as many pictures as I could because it was walking so fast and it was hard to keep it in focus. That day was great for several reasons and these photos are a sample of it.
