Rejected Deception

You told me those falsehoods through your serpent's song, honestly asking of my knowledge of right and wrong.

In justification my soul was protected from your siren eye's but in the end even the world was taken by your evil lies.

My submission to your will is not eternal though my arms reach out of the light for you.

Once believing in your incantations now only to confirm my realization that to our sides the angels fell, as we walk they still crawl.

Knowing if you changed they would forgive you of all.

Falling onto my knees -- praying here in hopes that the empathetic flow would reach into that heart,

knowing it takes but one beat to start.

To know why you deceive, why you curse and lay spell hoping to raise your own kingdom in a literal hell.

Truthfully understanding to the point that even if the world forsakes me, this love will always be.

Even if the world forsakes me, I can not stand here -- you by me.
