Hello Hivian Folka.
I keep bitting the bait of online DTIYS challenge even though I don't a style to speak of. So anyway, here we are.
And since I have no style to speak (at least I think I don't have a distinct style to talk of) I decide to go the media stylization route and trying to make a comic book type piece.
I have to say I'm not as disappointed as I often am, especially how the colors came out.
PROCESS MATERIAL
Sketches
I started out with a few couple of sketches and mockups. I decided on a portrait since the technical difficulty trying to do a full-body piece of just asking for stress and I'm not here of that. At least until I can afford to get a pen tablet to do work on my laptop for bigger pieces.
FINAL PIECE
After a couple of hours of editing the colour levels in the in photoshop cc, just is the result.
I'm really happy about how it came out eventually. There was a moment when I consider just scrapping the whole and starting all over again. In fact, I had two sketches ready and done. But decided to stick with the original and finish it.
By the way, the DTIYS original art is by Marzia Palomba. I absolutely suggest you visit their Instagram page. You will not regret
