I had 4 turtles but one of the babies got sick and passed on so now I have three. It is tank cleaning day and my bigger 2 turtles Mikey and Leo needed a better / bigger basking rock area. I am going to eventually build a pond in my back yard for them because they are expected to get over a foot long in the end!!
This is my new tank setup for the time being!
I had added the purple crate and the pavers. Before it was just the floating rock that was too small for them so it now their on ramp.
I really wish this floating rock had a better design. These are costly and are made with some sort of plastic resin
He seems to like it. This one is Leo.
This one is Mikey. He was very skittish when he was a baby didn't like anyone and wasn't very active. Leo would beat him all the time in the turtle races. Now he is a go getter.
These are yellow bellied sliders. In some states they are illegal to have to before purchasing them please check. Turles are also life long commitment pets. They can live 20 to 30 years if taken care of properly. They have a science to being taken care of so please do some research as well. You don't want a sick turtle...
