Hello friends.

Did you know there are between 3 to 30 million different types of species of animals living on our planet (Source)? There are a lot of different types of vertebrae. These animals include everything, from your standard house cats, orangutans, marsupials, woodpeckers, cows, foxes and more. Our planet is teaming with many species of animals. It's only right that we celebrate them.

In the spirit of this, today - which is Monday, October 4 - is World Animal Day.

MISSION OF WORLD ANIMAL DAY

The mission of World Animal Day is to raise the status of animals in order to improve welfare standards around the globe. Building the celebration of World Animal Day unites the animal welfare movement, mobilising it into a global force to make the world a better place for all animals. It's celebrated in different ways in every country, irrespective of nationality, religion, faith or political ideology. Through increased awareness and education, we can create a world where animals are always recognised as sentient beings, and full regard is always paid to their welfare. (Source : Here)

With so many different types of animals in the world, there surely is an animal that embodies who you are. So, if you were an animal, or you could transform into any type of animal, what animal would it be and why?

Would you want to be a fancy okapi? A very cute numbat? Perhaps a hunter such as a fossa or tiger? Perhaps you want to fly free in the sky like an eagle?

This all brings us to today's challenge.
