If you grew up in the 1980s and had access to a Nintendo game system, you would understand that joke (reference world 1-2 intro). September 13, 1985, was the day that "Super Mario Brothers" was released on the NES game platform. Since that day, about 36 years ago, they have been breaking blocks and squashing Gubas around the world.

Moreover, video games have also become a big part of our modern society. From full-fledged gaming consoles to mobile phones and even Tamagotchi keyrings, video games have integrated themselves into our lives and entertainment culture.

The significance of video games in the modern world is quite substantial. Video games are a booming industry, with video game designers coming up with new ideas for this medium. Video games are no longer just small, simple endeavors like Mario Brothers had been all those years ago. There are all kinds of different games to try out, each with their own unique storylines and gameplay mechanics. Video games are also beneficial for improving motor skills, cognitive skills, and social skills in children. All in all, video games are a huge part of our culture in the modern world.

This brings us to our challenge for today!
