Welcome to December (*almost).

It's a month of greetings and cards and greeting cards. We thought it would be fun to kick off this month by celebrating Electronic Greetings Day!

The E-card is the perfect card for people who are just plain crazy about their technology. Electronic Greetings Day is a low-key but fun holiday to celebrate the not-so-nostalgic days of e-cards and fax machines.

Created in 1994, this quirky holiday aims to keep in touch with all the people in your life in a more efficient and personable way. In this digital age, the idea of sending cards through the mail is laughable. But we know for a fact that there are loads of people who really enjoy receiving greetings in any form, so let’s celebrate today the beauty of the modern mailbox.

So to make this month a little more festive, here are a couple of thought-provoking questions to get you in the mood for the event:

• Which way should you send your greetings? Email, Twitter, D.Buzz, Facebook, or maybe an SMS message? Other?
• If you want to say "Happy Holidays" or "Merry Christmas" to someone, how do you like to do it?
• How can you make a greeting more personal in this day and age?

Hopefully, these will get you thinking about how you can celebrate Electronic Greetings Day! Also, they bring us to today's challenge.
