What's Buzzing Friends...

For over 40 years now, the Rubik's cube has been a brainteaser and a toy for millions of people around the world. Invented in 1974 by Hungarian sculptor and professor of architecture Ernő Rubik, the cube has attained iconic status for being the best-selling puzzle game in history. But, like any puzzle, the cube can prove frustrating. One wrong twist can leave you with a puzzle that's impossible to solve.

Given the number of pieces a Rubik's cube has, with different colors and options, there are approximately 43,252,003,274,489,856,000 (This is about 43 quintillion) different combinations! Now that's what I call a spicy meatball!!

Further just to put that number in perspective, if you had one Rubiks cube for each potential pattern, and laid them side-by-side, you'd build to cover the earth in a layer of 300 Rubiks cubes Source!

In fact when the inventor, Ernő Rubik designed this device it took him over a month to solve it for the first time! Now however people are solving these cubes in under 5 seconds (4.22 seconds is the current record). It's quite the impressive feat!
