Greetings and salutations Hivers. Today let's go into another Three Tune Tuesday post.
As always, thanks to for making this series. Lots of people participate in it! Follow the tags to find a ton of good music recommendation.
Today I have some 80s tunes in my head. All well and good—there is something about 80s music that still makes it popular today—but I don't want to make yet another list of songs all of you have heard hundreds of times. That in mind, I thought I'd pick some more modern songs that have a bit of an 80s sound. Let's go!

M83 - Midnight City
Fittingly enough, I first came across this song in an article that was talking about how Gen Z loves 80s music and how the same sound is showing up in their music. It's from 2011 so is that Gen Z? I don't know; I have my doubts if the article was correct in much it claimed, but it did expose me to some catchy songs. This one included.
The Killers - Somebody Told Me
This is a fun song with something of a New Wave sound and a great chorus. Well worth the listen. I first heard this song when they performed it on SNL some time ago.
Walk the Moon - Shut Up and Dance
Not only does this one have that 80s sound, but the video itself has a similar feel to those early MTV videos. Love it. After discovering and enjoying this song, I learned that this song is a deliberate homage to 80s music and culture. The band has opening acknowledged their love for 80s music and their intentions to evoke a similar feeling in their own music. That makes them worth following in my book!

So what's your favorite?
