Over the past few weeks, at my daughter’s request, I’ve made a few Pokémon figures. Today I have one for you called Oddish, which I created in 3D as a decorative figure using the quilling technique.

Hola a toda mi gente de Hive... 🐱

A lo largo de estas semanas por petición de mi hija he realizado algunos Pokémon, para hoy les tengo uno llamado Oddish el cual realicé en 3D en forma de una figura decorativa en la técnica de quilling.

Esperando que sea de su agrado, les dejo mi proceso creativo:

Comencemos:😃

• Cintas para quilling.
• Aguja para quilling.
• Plantilla para moldear círculos.
• Cartulinas.
• Guillotina de cortar papel.
• Pega blanca extra fuerte (de carpintería).
• Plastilina de color rojo.
• Pintura al frío color blanca.
• Pincel.
• Tijera.

• Quilling paper.
• Quilling needle.
• Circle template.
• Cardstock.
• Paper cutter.
• Extra-strong white glue (woodworking glue).
• Red modeling clay.
• White cold-weather paint.
• Paintbrush.
• Scissors.

• To make the Pokémon’s body, I used 3mm-wide dark blue quilling paper. I wound the paper around the needle until I reached the end, then removed it from the needle to form a closed circle. We’ll need two of these.

• We’ll shape these two circles using a 17mm circle template. Remove them from the mold and apply extra-strong white glue to the inside to prevent them from shifting or warping.

• We’ll join the two circles by gluing a 3mm blue strip in the middle.

• Para hacer el cuerpo del Pokémon tomé cinta para quilling de color azul oscuro de 3mm de ancho, con la aguja enrollé toda la cinta hasta llegar al final de la misma, saqué de la aguja para obtener un círculo cerrado. Necesitaremos dos iguales.

• Vamos a moldear estos dos círculos en una plantilla para moldear círculos en la medida número 17mm, sacamos del molde y aplicamos pega blanca extra fuerte en su parte interna para evitar que los mismos se muevan o deformen.

• Uniremos ambos circulos pegando una cinta azul de 3mm en el medio.

• For the feet, I made two small open circles using 3mm-wide blue ribbon; I shaped them into teardrops and glued them to the bottom of the body.

• Next, I made the eyes using two small pieces of red modeling clay; I glued them to the face and painted a highlight on each one with white acrylic paint.

• Para los pies realicé dos pequeños círculos abiertos, con cinta de color azul de 3mm de ancho, estos los moldee en forma de gotas y los pegué en la parte de abajo del cuerpo.

• Segui haciendo los ojos con dos pequeños trozos de plastilina roja, los pegué en la cara y pinte una luz en cada uno con pintura al frío blanca.

• At this point, I made five open circles using 3mm-wide green ribbon, shaped them into leaves, and glued them on as shown in the picture.

• I took the group of leaves and glued them to the Pokémon’s head.

• To finish and protect my decorative figure, I applied several layers of extra-strong white glue, letting each layer dry before applying the next.

This is how I completed this 3D Oddish Pokémon decorative figure using the quilling technique.

• En este punto procedí a realizar 5 círculos abiertos con cinta de color verde de 3mm de ancho, estos los moldee en forma de hojas y las pegué tal y como pueden ver en la imagen.

• Tomé el grupo de hojas y las pegué en la cabeza de Pokémon.

• Para finalizar y proteger mi figura decorativa apliqué varias capas de pega blanca extra fuerte dejando secar entre una capa y otra.
