For today I bring you a flower pendant made in the quilling technique, but this time I not only work with needle to roll, but with a comb to give a different effect to the inside of the flower.


This flower can be used as a pendant to embellish any exterior, or make it smaller to decorate a card, to make tendrils or a nice medallion, as I always say the technique is very versatile and you can decide to use what you do as you wish.


Progressively, I will show you other models of flowers or other figures made with comb and needle for quilling.

Hola a mis queridos Hiver y a la querida comunidad de artistas #Jewelry, como siempre muy complacida y emocionada de encontrarme por acá nuevamente, mostrando mi trabajo hecho con mucho amor y especialmente para ustedes.

Para hoy les traigo una flor colgante realizado en la técnica de quilling, pero esta vez no solo trabajo con aguja para enrollar, si no con un peine para darle un efecto diferente al interior de la flor.


Esta flor la pueden utilizar como un colgante para embellecer cualquier exterior, o hacerla más pequeña para decorar una tarjeta, para hacer zarcillos o un bonito medallon, en fin como siempre les digo la técnica es muy versátil y pueden decidir usar lo que hagan como lo deseen.


Progresivamente, les iré mostrando otros modelos de flores u otras figuras realizadas con peine y aguja para quilling.

Sin más preámbulos, les dejo mi proceso creativo.

• We are going to start by taking a strip of quilling 9mm wide x 28cms long, we take the comb and we are going to pass the ribbon through the middle of the second tooth of the comb, we bend the tip, apply a little extra strong glue and seal it.
  
  
• Then we are going to pass the tape through the middle of the third tooth of the comb, we will do it as if we were rolling, in the image you can see it more clearly.
  
  
• We will continue the same process passing the ribbon through the other teeth of the comb until we finish with all the ribbon, seal with glue and remove from the comb. As this petal we will need 9.

• Vamos a comenzar tomando una tira de quilling de 9mm de ancho x 28cms de largo, tomamos el peine y vamos a pasar la cinta por el medio del segundo diente del peine, doblamos la punta aplicamos un poco de pega extra fuerte y sellamos.


• Luego vamos a pasar la cinta por el medio del tercer diente del peine lo haremos como si estuviéramos enrollando, en la imagen lo podrán ver de manera más clara.


• Vamos a seguir realizando el mismo proceso pasando la cinta por los demás dientes del peine hasta terminar con toda la cinta, sellamos con pega y sacamos del peine. Como este pétalo vamos a necesitar 9.

• Now we are going to use the quilling needle, as you can see the petals have an opening in the middle, we are going to put the needle through each one of them and we are going to roll, let's start from the bottom to the top, we put the needle in the top as you can see in the picture and make a turn, we will do this with all the ends including the last one which would be the top one.
  
  
• We take another quilling tape 9mm wide x 28cms long and we are going to pass it around the petal shape, we will roll it until we finish with all the tape, at the end we will seal it with extra strong white glue. We will do this process with all the petals, which in this case will be 9, (reserve).

• Ahora vamos a usar la aguja para quilling, como podrán ver los pétalos tienen una abertura en el medio, pues vamos a meter la aguja, por cada uno de ellos y vamos a enrollar, comencemos de abajo para arriba, metemos la aguja en la parte de arriba como puedes ver en la foto y damos una vuelta, esto lo haremos con todas las puntas incluyendo la última que sería la de arriba.


• Tomamos otra cinta para quilling de 9mm de ancho x 28cms de largo y la vamos a pasar por alrededor del pétalo con forma, enrollaremos hasta terminar con toda la cinta, al finalizar sellaremos con pega blanca extra fuerte. Realizaremos este proceso con todos los pétalos, que en este caso serán 9, (reservamos).

• Once our petals are ready, we will proceed to take 2 toasted yellow ribbons of 9mm wide x 28cms long with them we will make a small pompom, one with each ribbon, that is to say that we will make 2 pompoms, previously I made a detailed tutorial on how to make them, here is the post how to make a pompom for you to execute it more easily.
  
  
• Ready the pieces, we will assemble our hanging flower, we will join all the petals in a harmonic way, at once we are going to place the liquid protection applying extra strong glue on all its parts letting it dry between one layer and another.

• Listos nuestros pétalos vamos a proceder a tomar 2 cintas amarilla tostado de 9mm de ancho x 28cms de largo con ellas haremos un pequeño pompón, uno con cada cinta, es decir que vamos a realizar 2 pompones, con anterioridad realice un tutorial detallado de cómo realizarlos, por aquí les dejo el post de cómo realizar un pompón para que lo ejecuten con mayor facilidad.


• Listas las piezas, vamos armar nuestra flor colgante, uniremos todos los pétalos de manera armónica, de una vez vamos a colocar la protección liquida aplicando pega extra fuerte por todas sus partes dejando secar entre una capa y otra.

• Once our flower is dry we will place one of the pompoms in the center and we will add the liquid protection, when the first side is dry we will place the second pompom on the other side and we will apply its protection.
  
  
• Once our hanging flower is completely dry, in the middle of each pompom we will place a yellow wooden bead to give it more color and detail.
  
  
• Finally, we will assemble a small cord of black Chinese thread to which we will place some yellow and orange wooden beads, its cover knot of costume jewelry and finally the medium ring which we will hook on our flower, which in this way is ready to place it in the place of your preference, either to use it as a keychain or in the way you like the most.

• Seca nuestra flor vamos a colocar uno de los pompones en el centro y añadiremos la protección liquida, cuando el primer lado este seco colocaremos el segundo pompón por el otro lado y le aplicaremos su protección.


• Totalmente seca nuestra flor colgante, en medio de cada pompón colocaremos una perla de madera amarilla para darle mayor vistosidad y detalle.


• Por ultimo armaremos un pequeño cordón de hilo chino negro al cual le coloque algunas perlas de madera amarillas y naranja, su tapa nudo de bisutería y por último la argolla mediana la cual engancharemos en nuestra flor, que de esta manera esta lista para colocarla en el sitio de tu preferencia, bien sea usarla de llavero o de la forma que más te guste.
