Last week I travelled down to London to see Richmond Park. A place I have been wanting to visit for a long time since buying a photo book by photographer Alex Saberi, ten or so years ago (Book found here).
Richmond Park is the largest of London's Royal Parks, covering 2,500 acres and featuring woodland pasture, freshwater lakes, and a small river that runs through it. The habitat is a mosaic of ancient or veteran Oak and Sweet Chestnut trees and open grassland. Wildlife includes Red and Fallow Deer, Grey Squirrels, and a range of different bird species, including Ring-necked Parakeets, Jays, Egyptian Geese, Jackdaws, Stonechats, Grey Herons, and many other wetland bird species.
I enjoyed my short time here photographing Richmond Park's wildlife. The best photographs from my trip are in the Photo Book below.
