It was a ritual: every day when she woke up she   would turn to the other side of the bed and think about her husband. Since   his death his aches were accentuated. Aurora goes to the bathroom and takes a   shower, she washes her hair and when leaving she places her feet on the   carpet to dry them. The sensation produced by the rubbing of her feet with   the ground makes bristle the skin, because it is cold.

He has numerous wrinkles on his face and when he  laughs they are even more marked. His 94 years of age have not made him lose   his lucidity. She loves to brew coffee in the mornings, she lives alone and   every Sunday her granddaughter Tatiana visits her. She is 14 years old, with dark brown hair and skin that is slightly toasted by the sun. They prepare cookies and sometimes go for a walk. That Sunday Tatiana arrived with a   novelty: a bicycle.

- Grandmother, grandmother. Look what they gave me.

Aurora sees the amazing Tatiana's face. A few days   ago she saw Jacinto, her neighbor, and said to herself: "Wow. End of the   world: a man on two wheels. " First time I saw something like that. The idea surprised her and since then her curiosity about riding a bicycle increased. He passed in front of Jacinto's house and saw the vehicle standing   on the porch, held by a metal leg.

-Tatiana, be careful when crossing the street with   the bicycle!

-Yes mom. Maybe the grandmother takes care of me.

-And you take care of her. I come to look for you later. Bye, daughter. Bye, mom. - She says as she kisses each one.

-Bye, daughter. Beware.

Tatiana's mother leaves the house and crosses the   avenue until her figure becomes blurred. Both enter the house with the   bicycle and leave it stuck to one of the walls of the room. Tatiana enters the room to change clothes. When he comes out he sees that his grandmother is in the kitchen.

-Grandma, what will we do today?

-I do not know, Tati. What do you want to do?

-I was thinking about taking a walk on the bike and  then buying sweet bread in the store and making a cup of chocolate that looks so good.

-"Going on the bicycle?".-Aurora says as her eyes flood with   happiness.

-Yes, on the bicycle. If you want I can teach you.

Both look at each other and silence. Aurora is arranging some dishes.

-You say? Do not you think I'm too old for that?

-Nothing grandma. Age is not a limit for that.

Aurora immediately embraces her tightly. Happiness did not fit in her chest, she made little jumps and smiled   as she hugged her granddaughter.

-The chocolate, right? Let me prepare it and we go.  But wait. Your bicycle is very small.

-Quiet grandmother, does the neighbor still have his?

-Ay, what a pity with Jacinto.

-I got this.

Tatiana kisses him on the cheek and Aurora smiles   even more. Start preparing chocolate.

After a while Tatiana returns and goes straight to   the kitchen. The stove is off, the chocolate is ready on top of the burner.   Her grandmother comes out of the room and passes the comb through her hair.   Tatiana looks at her and begins to smile.

-I'm well, Tati?

- Yes, you're perfect.

In front of his house was Jacinto waiting for them with the bicycle. Tatiana has hers on her side and mounts it.

-Mrs, how are you? I did not know he liked bicycles.

Aurora nods and climbs awkwardly. Tatiana gives some   indications and Jacinto holds it for a long time. Her granddaughter pedals along the street and Aurora laughs as she rolls on the asphalt. The breeze that hit his face that day was different from last Sunday. This time he was riding a bicycle with his granddaughter and his neighbor. The sun illuminated  his hair full of gray and at the same time his wrinkles were more noticeable.

Tatiana was spinning and Jacinto was taking her neighbor in a straight line so she would not get dizzy. "Wow, end of the world. I mounted on two wheels. " At that moment, she was full of  happiness. It was the purest feeling I had felt in years. Now I wanted to do it alone. Without anyone's help.

-Mr. Jacinto, let me try it alone, yes?

-Mrs. I do not dare.

Aurora insisted that they let her handle the bicycle  and after several attempts, Jacinto finally agreed. Little by little he took her to get the necessary impulse. Tatiana was nervous. I constantly repeated  take care with the brake. Aurora nodded and a few meters later was already free. The handlebar moved from one side to the other while it stabilized, again the breeze caressed his face, his smile did not disappear and for a moment he closed his eyes and breathed deeply. He feels something in his  chest, loses his balance and falls on the ground. In the distance her granddaughter runs.

-Grandmother, grandmother!- Tatiana  shouts.

That was his last memory. The one with the breeze, the one with the bicycle.

Thank you for reaching the end
