Hello hivers all over the world. It's another Saturday in Nigeria and I am presently in my snail farm in the village.

In snail farming, you don't need 10 acres to start farming, that your backyard is enough.
I started looking into snail farming recently and I was shocked at how simple and profitable it can be.

Snails don't make noise.
They don't need big space.
They don't eat like poultry.
And they sell for good money.

Know this, one snail can lay up to 100 eggs in a year and you can imagine starting with 50 snails.

Ok, this is how to Start Small:

  1. Get a small space: Old tyres, wooden box, or small cage behind your house. Remember to keep it moist and cool always.

  2. Get Point of Lay Snails: Buy from trusted farms.

  3. Feeding: Leaves like pawpaw, cocoyam, plantain leaves, plus fruits like pawpaw, cucumber, watermelon peel.
The snail's food is almost free.

  4. Keep it moist: Sprinkle water morning and evening.
Know that snails love damp places.

  5. Be patient: trust me that in 6-8 months, your colony will multiply.

Why Snail Farming?

High demand - Hotels, restaurants, and homes are always looking for snails.

Low cost - You can start with less than N20k.

No stress - You can do it after work or school.

Clean - No smell like poultry.

Instead of leaving your backyard empty and growing weeds, make it a garden. Make it produce money while you sleep.

Snails are slow, but the money is not slow.

Have you tried snail farming before?
What stopped you?
