MEN SHOULD APPRECIATE THEIR WIVES AS PARTNERS, NOT SERVANTS.
There are two types of husbands in this world.
The first one has a wife.
The second one has a partner.
And the difference is everything.
I grew up watching what many of us grew up watching too. The man sits, waits, commands. The woman runs, cooks, serves, keeps quiet. She is called a good wife if she never complains and never gets tired.
But I have also seen something else. Something rare. Something powerful.
A man who truly gets it.
He doesn't say help me with the house chores. He says let's do it together because it's his house too.
He doesn't say my wife is good at managing home as if it's her job description. He says we are building this home together.
That man is not weak. That man is wise.
Listen;
A servant waits for instructions. A partner sees what needs to be done and does it.
A servant is scared of you. A partner is safe with you.
A servant is there to serve your purpose. A partner is there to build a purpose wth you.
When you treat your wife as a servant, you get a tired woman. A woman who is physically present but mentally gone. A woman who serves you food but has stopped serving you her dreams, her laughter, her ideas.
But when you treat your wife as a partner.
You get a queen. You get a best friend. You get a teammate who will go to war for you. You get peace in your own house.
Real men understand this.
- Partnership is not 50/50. It's 100/100.
It's not I washed plates so you must wash clothes. It's we are both giving our all to make this work. Some days she is 20%, you are 80%. Some days you are down, she carries you. That's partnership.
Her dreams are not hobbies.
If you only support her when it's convenient for you, you don't support her. A partner asks, what do you want to become?.
And then clears the path for her to become it.Appreciation is not for special occasions.
It's not only on her birthday or Women's Day. It's in the small things.
Thank you for holding this family together. Thank you for your sacrifice.
I see you. I don't take you for granted.Leadership is not dictatorship.
To lead is not to boss. To lead is to serve. To lead is to say follow me, I will take care of us, I will listen, I will protect your heart.
The most successful men I know are not the ones shouting at their wives. They are the ones who come home and their wives light up when they enter. Because home is not a hotel where she works. Home is where they both rest.
To every man reading this.
Your wife is not your mother.
She is not your maid.
She is not your cook who you occasionally sleep with.
She is your partner.
The mother of your children.
The keeper of your secrets.
The one person who saw you with nothing and still believed in something.
Stop looking for a servant.
You already have a queen, if you would only treat her like one.
And to every woman reading this who has been made to feel like a servant in your own home, you are not too demanding for wanting to be seen as a partner. You are right. Don't settle for less.
I repeat, don't settle for less.
A happy marriage is not when the wife serves the husband.
A happy marriage is when two partners serve a shared vision.
My watchwords.
Choose partnership.
That's where victory really is.
What does partnership in marriage mean to you?
Let's talk in the comments.
