Yes, it can be just like a carpet in the woods. The wild garlic is also coming into flower. I know a woodland that has a carpet of white in early May when it is in full bloom.

Are the trees giant Sequoia? We have a few around the town and in Tilgate Park. They all seem to be of about the same size and probably about just over 100 years old. They were planted by landowners early

I think I have detected a strange smell in that area before as it happens. So that could be it! I pass through Tilgate a lot on my rides, so I'll keep an eye out for the gosling. 😁
