The cooler morning was really refreshing. A nice break from the heat. We are lucky to have such a varied climate. We sometimes moan a bit about it but it is far better than months of energy draining heat.

There's nothing like getting out there to see for yourself. I almost ran over a grass snake on a recent cycle ride. An amazing sight until it slithered into the undergrowth. !ALIVE

The two remaining cygnets do look strong though, so the outlook is good.

We broke our May temperature record twice in recent days at 35°C. Not absolutely sure but I think that is close to 100° F.

Oh, definitely no logging around these parks, although there are a lot of pine forests which are stripped out occasionally. !ALIVE

I would love to see a healthy fully grown tree. We have a nice example in Tilgate Park. I think a little larger than this one.
